demo packaging : Hello and welcome to Sean Nixon's Graphic Design students! What you'll find on this gallery represents my most recent graphics for my voice-over demo. I am obviously no professional and I created this out of templates from SureThing CD Labeler Deluxe 4 and clip art downloaded from microsoft's huge database online. As you will see from the examples I brought in the initial presentation, I was able to get pretty nice results from printing from an inkjet printer on glossy stock and the CD was printed directly on the inkjet as well. The business card is straight off of the rear panel of the CD case with a few alterations.

The voice over demo has some pretty specific requirements. The end product of this demo design project has to be high impact, to gain the attention of recipients, yet also needs to convey essential information efficiently without confusing the eye. To do it's job successfully, the physical attributes of the design must conform to its use. When the demo is received by the Artistic Director of Blah Blah, he/she will look at it to see if it has the following attributes: Both spines must clearly show the voice artist's name, that he/she is a voice talent, and contact phone number. The disc must also have the Voice Artist's name and contact info, including address, email and phone#. If the CD doesn't have these attributes right off the bat, the demo will usually go directly in the trash without being auditioned. The reason for this is that once the Artistic Director of Blah Blah listens to his stack of 20 of these discs, the discs will be categorized and placed on a bookshelf or CD rack. Only if the name and contact info are clearly legible on the spine of the case will the demo be reserved for later. They don't want to have to DO anything to the disc for it to be useful.

I include my contact info here so that you can cut and paste it:

Please note that the images of fungi in this website are not intended for identification purposes. I have identified the fungi portrayed to the best of my current ability, which may or may not be entirely accurate. If you intend to eat wild mushrooms you should obtain a 100% positive identification before doing so, which usually cannot be made solely from a photo.
